Men's Soccer Has High Expectations for 2010 Season


Despite having only five starters returning from last season, the expectations for Wesleyan head men’s soccer coach Gavin Donaldson and his team remain the same. The Bobcats were ranked third in the preseason WVIAC coach’s poll behind only defending champion Charleston and Davis & Elkins.

Tierney to Present at Palm Springs Coaches Clinic


On September 10-12 head Wesleyan women’s basketball coach Steve Tierney will join the likes Matt Painter (Purdue), Dana Altman (Oregon), Jamie Dixon (Pittsburgh) and Tony Shaver (William and Mary) at the Palm Springs Coaches Clinic in Palm Springs, CA.

Bobcats Dedicate Bleachers; Recognized for Success


In addition to a big season opening victory for the Wesleyan football on Saturday against St. Paul's, the game also featured a pair of special ceremonies.


Prior to the game, Director of Athletics Ken Tyler and President Dr. Pamela Balch presented a plaque to Alice "Ace" Knox ('49) for her contribution to the new bleacher project at Cebe Ross Field.

Women’s Soccer to Kick-off Season with New Coach


The Wesleyan women’s soccer team starts the 2010 fall season with not just ten new freshmen being added to the team, but a new head coach as well. Patrick Holguin, the former men’s and women’s soccer coach at Marietta, will take over the program and try to build on the foundation of success that has been put in place. Holguin coached the men’s soccer team at Marietta for twelve years and the women’s team for ten years, earning over 170 wins.
